Staxl
Staxl is a solo livecoding/algorave artist based in Leipzig, using programming languages and software to generate algorithmic and glitchy music with many rhythmic unpredictabilities, abstracted samples, generated beats and abrasive sounds.
For his forst release on french micro-label "industriemusicale.org", Memory Leak will be availlable on February the 4th via streaming and on tape cassettes.
This collection of tracks based on interactions with the open-source livecoding environment TidalCycles. The rhythms and structures of the tracks were all generated within that software, involving a lot of chance and randomness that were tamed in the post-editing. The sounds themselves on this record were created using various audio software tools.
